The Ronald Reagan Charter School Alliance is a non-profit public benefit corporation, formed and organized pursuant to the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law (part 2 )commencing with Section 5110) of Division 2 of Title 1) of the Corporations Code) (Ed. Code section 47604(a)).
 
The Ronald Reagan Charter School Alliance is the Governing Board to Sycamore Academy of Science and Cultural Arts which was originally authorized by Lake Elsinore Unified School District on June 25, 2009 and the Sycamore Academy of Science and Cultural Arts-Chino Valley which was originally authorized by the San Bernardino County Board of Education on December 3, 2018.
 
The Governing Board members of the Sycamore Academy of Science and Cultural Arts have extensive backgrounds in education and other facets of operating a charter school. They are a rich resource for the guidance of our school including background and experience in education management and instruction, business, marketing, grant writing, school development, accounting and school finance and nonprofit community development and compliance.

Dr. Ingrid Flores 

Dr. Ingrid Flores is an assistant professor of science education in the School of Education of California State San Marcos.  Since 2000, Dr. Flores has taught science methods and mathematics methods courses at CSUSM in the Multiple Subject Teacher Credential Program, of which she was coordinator from 2008-2013.  In addition, she supervises pre-service teachers in clinical practice.  Dr. Flores previously taught developmental mathematics at the University of Texas El Paso (UTEP).  She has significant teaching experience in higher education and working in public school settings with diverse student populations.  Her research interests include the integration of educational technology in science teaching and learning , and developing pre-service teachers' scientific competence for teaching through site-based professional development.
 
 
Matthew Roberson/ Board President
 
A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, Mr. Roberson has over 24 years experience in the banking industry with various roles in operations and relationship management.  A trusted advisor to many small and middle market business clients with complex banking relationships throughout Southern California.  An avid outdoorsman, Matt likes to spend family vacations traveling the United States visiting State Capitals and National Parks.  
 
 
Ivonne Landeros
 
Mrs. Landeros is a life-long Southern Californian having spent her childhood in Monterey Park.  She is a graduate of Mt. San Antonio College.  Mrs. Landeros has worked for Mt. SAC for nearly twenty years, first for the Foundation and most recently in the Community Education Department as an Administrative Specialist.  She is the mother of four children.  Three of her children have graduated from high school and two currently attend Mt. San Antonio College.  Her youngest will be joining the Sycamore-Chino Valley family in the fall of 2019.

Dr. Robert Hennings and his wife, Charity, have two children, Anna and A.J, who both attend public charter schools. His family schedule includes Little League, karate, and church activities---just to name a few. Dr. Hennings has served students, staff, and families in traditional and charter public education through a variety of roles including Teacher, Athletic Coach, School Counselor, Programs Coordinator, Principal, Schools Director, Assistant Superintendent, and Executive Director. His Alma Maters include Crafton Hills College, CSU San Bernardino, Chapman University, Azusa Pacific University, and USC. His favorite activities include visiting museums, traveling-exploring, hockey, baseball, and appreciating classic cars. He enjoys cheering for his favorite sports teams, especially the Dodgers.

 

Lauren Nelson

Lauren Nelson

 

Lauren Nelson is a proud mom of two, wife, and passionate advocate for her community. Raised in Murrieta, she has a strong connection to the area and its community. Lauren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from CSU San Bernardino and a Master's Degree in Government and Policy from Grand Canyon University. Lauren also holds her Project Management Associate Certification and multiple state certifications pertaining to public safety. She’s spent the last 10 years working in the public sector, helping to build the community. 

 

When she's not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the Anaheim Ducks and San Francisco 49ers, and caring for her 80 ranch animals.
